Not guilty pleas in Ripon College thefts
RIPON, Wis. (AP) — The former information technology director at Ripon College has pleaded not guilty to stealing more than $400,000 from the school.
Fifty-four-year-old Ronald Haefner is charged with 64 counts of theft and fraud.
WLUK-TV says the Mequon man waived his preliminary hearing in Fond du Lac County Circuit Court Monday.
The criminal complaint has 18 pages of purchases Haefner is accused of making, including Apple computers, furniture and other items.
Haefner was employed by Ripon College from 1999 until he was fired last November.
A trial is scheduled to begin Jan. 5.
