NWS cancels in-person Skywarn storm spotter classes

The NWS spotter training will continue where webinars are scheduled, and more may be added.

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – All in-person Skywarn storm spotter classes, including one scheduled for 7 p.m. today in Monona, Iowa, have been canceled until further notice, the La Crosse office of the National Weather Service announced today.

Several webinars remain on the schedule; the NWS will plan others, as well as conducting virtual training for some communities. Those sessions will be announced when details are finalized.
