Oakdale fire-rescue frees driver trapped in crashed pickup in Monroe County

GREENFIELD TOWNSHIP, Wis. (WKBT) — Oakdale fire-rescue workers freed an injured driver trapped in a pickup that crashed into a tree off of State Hwy. 21 in Greenfield Township shortly after 6:30 a.m. Wednesday.
The driver of a red 2011 Ford F-150 suffered from a medical condition before veering off the highway near County Hwy. E, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, which investigated the crash.
Oakdale fire-rescue extricated the driver, who was taken to the hospital by the Tomah Area Ambulance Service.
Officials did not release the name of the driver.
One lane of Hwy. 21 was closed for about an hour.
Also assisting at the scene were the Wisconsin State Patrol, Fort McCoy police and Tomah Rescue technicians.
