Oktoberfest celebrations to return in La Crosse

The four day fest will start September 30th

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – The spirit of gemütlichkeit will return, this year’s Oktoberfest is on.

The 60th annual fest Starts September 30th and will include four days of food, fun, and music at both of La Crosse’s fest grounds.

The Torchlight and Maple Leaf Parades are also making a comeback along with carnival rides.

To help kick off the celebration organizers released this year’s button design ‘Cheers to 60 years.’

After missing last year’s celebration, organizers say people from near and far are excited for this moment.

“There’s a large contingent that comes from out of state and around the area. And it’s just exciting to once again say ‘come on back to our city and enjoy the traditions we have enjoyed for 59 and what will now be 60 years,” said Oktoberfest La Crosse President Kelly Wilde.

Members of the Oktoberfest Royal family will be introduced starting with the Miss Oktoberfest pageant September 11th.
