Oktoberfest parking raises $3,897 for DARE, GREAT programs

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — Members of the la Crosse County Sheriff’s Department and their families raised $3,897 for the D.A.R.E./G.R.E.A.T. programs.

Volunteers parked cars on Friday and Saturday at the courthouse parking lot for people attending Oktoberfest.

“Many gave extra donations to support the D.A.R.E./G.R.E.A.T. programs and that was appreciated greatly,” the La Crosse County Sheriff’s Department wrote on its Facebook page. “Every cent will be used to purchase D.A.R.E./G.R.E.A.T. related materials for the children at the eleven schools that these program are offered in La Crosse County.”
