Oktoberfest Special Fester 2013 announced
LA CROSSE, WI — While the official kick-off to Oktoberfest is still a few days off, it wouldn’t be able to get underway without the naming of the Oktoberfest royal family.
This year’s Special Fester was announced at the Special Fester Ball in La Crosse.
His name is Conner Ellis.
He is 9-years-old from Holmen and has autism.
He loves the outdoor, the Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badger Football.
He plays rookie baseball for Brice Prairie and enjoys archery.
22070846He also has a successful business of crushing aluminum cans and donating the profits.
Connor loves Oktoberfest and can’t wait to be part of the parade, but his Oktoberfest duties won’t end there.
“He goes along with the royal family to the events that will happen this coming week after the opening weekend of Oktoberfest. He’ll go to schools and the nursing homes and just help promote Oktoberfest,” said Oktoberfest board member Terry Zalewski.
This year’s Mrs. Oktoberfest will be named on Wednesday and the Festmaster will be named on Friday.
