Oktoberfest Special Fester Announced

Makayla Olson is offically part of Oktoberfest Royal Family

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — There is officially a new member of the Oktoberfest Royal family.

Makayla Olson was chosen as this year’s Special Fester. The announcement came in during a ceremony Sunday.

Makayla says being chosen is awesome, and she is looking forward to the parade.

Makayla’s family says their daughter being chosen for Oktoberfest royalty is a special honor. “We couldn’t have been more surprised, we couldn’t be more pleased with the inclusiveness that we see here in La Crosse with kids like our daughter Makayla,” said Makayla’s father Brad Olson.

Oktoberfestivities kick off on Thursday.
