Oktoberfest USA to spread Gemutlichkeit virtually
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – Even though Oktoberfest 2020 has been canceled, the annual Oktoberfest USA Medallion Hunt, Photography Contest, and Motorrad are still on.
Starting September 1, the 51st Annual Oktoberfest Photography Contest begins and is open to adults and students through 12 p.m. on September 18, 2020. Contest rules and entry information are available here. Community members may vote online for the People’s Choice Award, Thursday, September 24 through the 27th. Winners and honorable mentions will also be posted online beginning September 24.
The Medallion Hunt begins Monday, September 14 with one clue per day posted on Oktoberfest USA’s Facebook, Instagram, and website here around 7 a.m. Ten clues have been prepared and will be shared until the medallion is found or all ten are used up. The person that finds the medallion will win $500 cash, and a swag basket full of Oktoberfest goodies.
The 2020 Motorrad is scheduled for Saturday, October 3. The Motorrad is a scenic tour of the Coulee Region during the beautiful fall colors. More information can be found here.
