Onalaska High School’s all-female barbershop quartet headed to Junior Nationals
ONALASKA, Wis. (WKBT) — Four Onalaska students are heading to the Barbershop Quartet Junior Nationals next week, but you may notice something a little different about their group.
Onalaska High School’s “The Best Sellers” is an all female barbershop quartet.
The 4 junior girls decided to start a quartet last year and are now one of 4 groups heading to the national competition in Nashville.
Even with their success, members say it’s really about sharing their love of music with others.
“We were all friends before but definitely through this quartet we’ve all become better friends. This type of music is so different from so many other styles and it’s so great to be able to sing it and share it with people that you really care about,” says Rachel Schoenecker.
The team heads out to Nashville for the Junior Nationals competition on Monday.
