Onalaska kicks off the holidays with Season of Lights Parade

ONALASKA, Wis. (WKBT) – Community members in Onalaska are shining light on their Sunday evening with a new holiday parade. This is the debut of the city’s Season of Lights Holiday Parade.

Many different local businesses, groups, and organizations decorated their floats with holiday lights and decorations. And of course, it wouldn’t be a Holiday Parade without an appearance from Santa.

“Oh, it’s so great to have events like this where the community can gather and just celebrate what a wonderful community we have. It’s nice to get the neighbors out visiting with each other. and also get elected officials and others out who wanted to participate,” said Onalaska Mayor, Kim Smith.

Mayor Smith says the feedback for the parade has been a great addition and they plan on doing it again in the future.
