Onalaska man charged with being felon in possession of firearm, ammunition
ONALASKA, Wis. (WKBT) — An Onalaska man is charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition.
The indictment alleges that Curtis Green, 39, possessed a .40 caliber pistol and ammunition on October 30, 2019.

According to West Salem police, on Saturday, October 26, 2019, a shooting happened in the area of the 500 block of Brickl Road in West Salem. One person was treated for a gunshot wound at a La Crosse hospital and released. Police say it was an isolated incident.
Wednesday, October 30, Curtis Green, 39, from Onalaska, was arrested and charged with one count of first degree reckless injury, three counts of first degree recklessly endangering safety, one count of endanger safety by use of a dangerous weapon and one count of felon in possession of a firearm.
If convicted, Green faces a maximum penalty of 10 years in federal prison. The charge against him is the result of an investigation by the West Salem Police Department, La Crosse County Sheriff’s Office, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. Assistant U.S. Attorney Taylor L. Kraus is handling the prosecution.
