Onalaska streets sparkle in second annual Season of Lights Parade
ONALASKA, Wis. (WKBT) — The City of Onalaska lit up its streets Sunday evening at the Season of Lights parade.
It celebrated local businesses and the holiday season with floats decked out in holiday lights.
The parade started as a chance to bring the community together in a pandemic-safe way. Mayor Kim Smith says it has been a hit ever since.
“What it’s all about is us getting outside, gathering together as a community and enjoying the season. This is Wisconsin– we need to get out and enjoy the weather no matter what it is,” Smith said.
Smith said she hopes the community will keep the tradition going and continue to make it bigger and better each year.
