Onalaska wins top clash with Caledonia

Onalaska boys basketball outlasted Caledonia in a defensive battle that resulted in a 51-43 win Friday night.

Caledonia opened the game on a 10-3 run but the Hilltoppers controlled the rest of the first half, heading into the locker room with a 25-20 lead.

Caledonia and Onalaska traded leads throughout the second half, but it was Evan Gamoke knocking down several clutch threes, including the go-ahead triple with two minutes to go.

Sam Kick led the Hilltoppers with 16 points, with Gamoke adding 15.

Andrew Kunelius scored 12 points to lead the Warriors.
