Onalaska’s Carson Arenz becoming well-rounded scoring threat

Onalaska basketball is off to a hot start this year at 6-1, and they’re now looking to continue their success as MVC play looms in the new year.
In the latest D2 rankings this season, Central is No. 1, and Onalaska is No. 2. Coach Kowal says that having so many players returning and working on their game is what can be the difference maker in conference play, especially when those showdowns with Central come around.
Senior Carson Arenz has done just that. So far, he’s maintained his reputation as a sharpshooter, knocking down nearly 50 percent of his threes, but he says he’s also become more well-rounded on offense.
“This summer I focused more on my post offense,” Arenz said. “Last year I was more of an outside player I’d say. I’ve been working on my defense and post moves. ”
Arenz is second on the team with 14.3 points per game, trailing Tyrell Stuttley who is averaging 15 a game.
Onalaska will be at home against Logan Friday.
