One dead in car crash, fire in Cochrane
COCHRANE, Wis. (WKBT) — One person has died in a car crash that resulted in a fire.
The Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office received a report Wednesday night around 10:15 of a vehicle that struck a garage near the intersection of South Main Street and CTH O in the Village of Cochrane.
The caller said that it appeared the car and garage were on fire.
When crews arrived on scene, they found a person still in the vehicle and attempted to get them out, but were unsuccessful.
The identity of the person is being withheld until family can be notified.
