More Afghan Evacuees Will Begin Arriving In Us Next Week

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – Refugee resettlement is the focus of a virtual event on Tuesday.

UW-La Crosse, Viterbo University, and Western Technical College are hosting an online discussion to help the community understand and support Afghan evacuees.

The live stream will feature Genevieve Levy, a district director with the California State Assembly.

Levy has worked extensively with Afghan populations.

The event also features Nemat Sadat, a legal secretary with the Sacramento District Attorney’s office who has worked as a refugee resettlement coordinator.
