Online voter registration ends this Wednesday, and advocates want you to register now
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — The fall primaries are less than a month away, and voter advocates want you to register early.
League of Women Voters volunteers are available at the La Crosse Public Library to help potential voters register at MyVote.WI.gov. They will walk people through the online registration process, which requires a Wisconsin driver’s license or state-issued ID.
Those who are already registered but moved will need to update their address through the website.
“It’s not just thinking about the President or Governor. It’s important who your City Councilperson is, or your County Board Representative, because a lot of what they do will probably have a more direct impact on your life,” said League of Women Voters member Sandy Sechrest.
July 25 is the last day you can register online and through mail, but you can still register until August 10 through your clerk’s office, and the day of at the polls.
The fall primaries are August 14, and the general election is November 6.
