Oskaloosa man pleads guilty to felony sex abuse

OSKALOOSA, Iowa (AP) — A 27-year-old Oskaloosa man has pleaded guilty to a felony charge of sexual abuse.

The Oskaloosa Herald reports that Christopher Atchison filed his plea in Mahaska County District Court last week. His sentencing has been scheduled for Jan. 9.

Oskaloosa police say the department had been contacted this summer by a member of the Iowa Department of Human Services regarding possible child abuse.

After an investigation, Atchison was arrested and charged with second-degree sexual abuse.
