Otto Lowrey

Otto C. Lowrey, age 77 years, of Hillsboro, Wisconsin, passed away on Saturday, June 19, 2021.

He was born on August 28, 1943 to Everett and Irene (Campbell) Lowrey at La Farge and graduated from the La Farge High School.

Otto Lowery 2Otto was blessed from his first marriage with three children, Becky, Martin and Samantha, and was united in marriage to Elaine (Bruce) on July 10, 1993. Elaine had two children, Patrick and Holly, and later their last child was born, Alicia.

Otto lived and worked in Beloit for a few years, but worked and lived much of his life in and around Hillsboro where he and Elaine made their home. He also worked at different jobs in the Hillsboro area, but his final job—which he truly enjoyed—was delivering meals on wheels to shut-ins around the area.

Besides his family, Otto’s passion and pride were his service to the Hillsboro Fire Department. His vehicle was always at the ready to spring into action at the first notice of a call. Even in his later years, the mere act of directing traffic for the department allowed him to continue to serve his community with pride.

His other loves included the outdoors and the Green Bay Packers. A lifelong Packers fan, he was finally able to make a recent bucket list trip with family to attend a Green Bay Packers game at Lambeau Field.

Survivors include his wife, Elaine; children, Becky (Rob) Jackson of Kendall, Martin (Valerie) Lowrey of Pennsylvania, Samantha (Alan) Erickson of Cashton, Alicia Lowrey of Wisconsin Dells, Patrick Glynn of Chilton and Holly (Brian) Nemec of Hillsboro; along with grandchildren, Russell and Randall Jackson, Caitlyn and Logan Lowrey, Shelbi Peterson, Alex and Darci Erickson, Brody Glynn and Justin and Abigail Nemec; great grandchildren, McKenzie, Jackson and Amara Peoppel; brothers, Jerry (Janice) Lowrey and Ralph (Marjie) Lowrey and sisters, Betty Richter and Opal Anderson.
