Two people injured Thursday in fire on La Crosse’s south side
LA CROSSE (WKBT) — Two people are recovering from injuries after an apartment fire Thursday morning.
The fire took place at 2219 South Ave., the 2219 Lofts apartment complex.
The La Crosse Fire Department arrived on scene at 12:39 a.m.
All apartment residents were notified of the fire by the apartment’s fire alarm system.
A total of 26 firefighters arrived within minutes.
The apartment building sustained moderate fire damage and extensive water damage, according to the La Crosse Fire Department.
