Packers hall of famer Frank Winters comes to La Crosse for scouting fundraiser
There are over 1,000 youth members involved in the Gateway Area Council.
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – The local scouting programs got a big guest for their 2022 Golden Eagle Gala fundraising dinner.
Green Bay Packers hall of famer Frank Winters joined the celebration to support Gateway Area Council, Boy Scouts of America.
Dollars raised will support Scouting in eight counties in southwest Wisconsin as well as Houston County Minnesota.
While Winters doesn’t have a past affiliation with the scouts, he says its an organization he’s excited to support.
“it’s a great opportunity to come back to the state of Wisconsin, to give back to the boy scouts here in La Crosse. I was honored to come back and speak on behalf of the boy scouts and raise money for a good cause,” said Packers hall of fame member Frank Winters.
There are over 1,000 youth members involved in the Gateway Area Council which serves over 45 different communities.
