Parents of New Years baby honor Swedish heritages
7552166LA CROSSE, Wis. — Anne-Kristi Lee and Lars Juve wanted to honor their Swedish heritages. That’s why they decided to give their firstborn a traditional Swedish name.
Yorgin Anne was born at 1:08 a.m. on Sunday morning, making her the Coulee Region’s first baby of 2012.
The baby girl was due on Christmas, but apparently wanted to wait around for the new year.
“We have a third member of the family now and another person to take care of so it’s exciting. It’s going to be a challenge but we’re ready and looking forward to it,” said Juve.
Yorgin’s parents, who live in Sparta, are engaged to be married.
