Partly Cloudy & Not Quite as Cold Tonight -Bill Graul
Slight Chance of Showers Thursday & Friday, Especially South
Tonight’s Forecast Low: 42F / Thursday’s Forecast High: 62F…
It was a frosty morning for many, with chilly early morning temps in the low-mid 30s… even 20s in our traditional colder spots.
Tonight won’t be quite as cold as last night, but still a bit chilly. Expect lows to range from the mid 30s (east) to the low 40s, under partly cloudy skies.
More clouds than sun Thursday. A disturbance tracking by to our south will bring a slight chance of showers, especially across southern portions of the viewing area. Highs Thursday will range from the mid 50s (south) to the low-mid 60s (north).
Slight chance of showers on Friday as well, once again the greater rain chances will be south. Otherwise, expect mostly cloudy skies with highs in the mid 50s to low 60s. Mostly sunny and warmer Saturday with highs in the mid-upper 60s, making for a pleasant and seasonable early May day. Breezy with a chance of showers on Mother’s Day, with cooler highs in the low-mid 60s.
Looking Ahead… It looks like we are going to jump right into Summer next week, with above average high temps in the upper 70s Monday… then many areas will likely see 80s for highs Tuesday through Thursday. With the warmth will come a bit of humidity as well, along with periodic chances for showers and t-storms Monday through Wednesday. However, none of those days look like washouts by any stretch. There may even be a chance for some strong to severe storms in the region, so stay tuned! -Bill Graul
