Satellite and radar imagery this morning shows a surface low pressure system is positioned over Chicago. This system is still bringing us some clouds across the area. The low will lift out later today though.
Tranquil Weather for Today
Partly cloudy skies with high temperatures in the mid 80s are in the forecast for this afternoon. Winds will be out of the southwest at 5-10 mph during the day.
Stormy Conditions for Tomorrow
The computer forecast models are still indicating a good chance of thunderstorms across our area. Skytracker is showing a squall line of storms that could move across the area starting tomorrow afternoon.
Severe Weather is Possible Tomorrow
The Storm Prediction Center has issued a level 3 enhanced risk for all of our area tomorrow. This means that numerous severe thunderstorms are possible. At the moment, large hail and damaging winds appear to be the primary threats to look out for.
