Passenger admits smoking marijuana out of a gas mask in Sparta
Vehicle pulled over for routine traffic stop
SPARTA, Wis. (WKBT) — A routine traffic stop in Sparta led to citations for possession of drug paraphernalia and marijuana early Monday morning.
Sparta police pulled over a vehicle at 1 a.m. on Monday for not displaying any registration plates.
The driver, Alejandro Becerra Cardona, 26, of Texas did not have a valid driver’s license. Sparta police said during the traffic spot, a passenger admitted to officers that there was marijuana in the vehicle. Police searched the vehicle and found a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, including a rubber gas mask. One of the passengers admitted to smoking marijuana out of the gas mask.
Christian A. Bercerra Vazquez and Eric Santiago Salis, both 19 of Texas, were cited for possession of drug paraphernalia. Becerra Cardona was cited for possession of marijuana, operating without a valid license and failure to display vehicle license plates.
