Phyllis J. Smith

Phyllis J. Smith, 85 of La Crosse passed away Wednesday, June 16, 2021, at her home.

She was born on March 9, 1936, to Lloyd and Marion (Miller) Ray.  On July 25, 1953, Phyllis married Stanley L. Smith Sr. and he preceded her in death on October 21, 2009.

Phyllis enjoyed bowling.

Phyllis is survived by three daughters, Terri (Dan) Young of Norwalk, Brenda (Michael) Hartenburg of Walterboro, S.C., and Wendy (Kurtis) Burrows of Cashton; a son, Stanley (Carolyn) Smith Jr. of La Crosse; eight granddaughters, Amy (Jesse) Filion, Sarah Catterton, Colleen and Hannah Smith, Avery (Sam) Mishun, Casey Hanson, and Jessica and Jean Burrows; five grandsons, Alex (Allison) Hartenburg, Kyle (Jessica) Smith, Jonathon Smith, Kyle (Michele) Burrows, and James Burrows; and eleven great-grandchildren, Eli Catterton, Emily and Joey Filion, Adilyn and Weston Smith, Claire Touchet, Hudson Mishun, Ivy Zitzner, Caydence Burrows, Cali Grosch, and Rayden Anderson.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a great-granddaughter, Lydia Mishun; a sister, Joyce Carlson; and two brothers, William Ray and Ervin Ray.
A private family service will be held.
