Pigeon Falls community celebrates resident’s 103rd birthday
PIGEON FALLS, Wis. (WKBT)– People are parading around Pigeon Falls in honor of a resident’s 103rd birthday. Reynolds Tomter, a World War II veteran, celebrated his big day Sunday.
His daughter, Julie Tomter Warner, said ahead of the parade that she knew her dad wouldn’t like the fuss, but would certainly enjoy it. Signs were posted all around town wishing Tomter a very special birthday.
Tomter is no stranger to big birthday celebrations. When he turned 100, he was honored with a fire truck ride, huge crowd at the local coffee shop and there was formal proclamation declaring it ‘Reynolds Tomter Day. ‘
He usually gets hundreds of birthday cards from people all over the U.S. If anyone wants to send him a birthday greeting, his address is: PO Box 326, Pigeon Falls, WI 54760.
