Plea agreement reached for La Crosse police sergeant

As part of agreement, Alan Iverson can't work in law enforcement

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — A plea agreement has been reached for a La Crosse police sergeant accused of threatening to kill his wife.

Iverson was arrested in February after his wife said he threatened to shoot her, their kids, and himself after she asked for a divorce.

Iverson pleaded no contest to one count of disorderly conduct. As part of the agreement, Alan Iverson cannot work in law enforcement and corrections. He would only be able to work for in a private security field as long as he is not armed and not allowed to arrest people.

Also part of the diversion agreement, Iverson will be monitored by the Jackson/Trempealeau Diversion Program.

The specific terms of his agreement with the City of La Crosse are being negotiated separately.

The City of La Crosse attorney said Iverson remains on paid administrative leave from the La Crosse Police Department.  Iverson has ten days to provide confirmation of his agreement with the city.
