Police: body in car in Waupaca County is homicide
TOWN OF HARRISON, Wis. (AP) — The death of a woman whose body was found inside a burned vehicle in a town west of Appleton is being investigated as a homicide.
State and county authorities released details of the case Thursday. Deputies from the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office found the body of the 36-year-old woman from the Village of Plover in the car on Wednesday morning.
The woman’s identity has not been released. An autopsy is pending to determine her cause of death.
Investigators from the Wisconsin State Crime Lab along with state and local authorities also searched an apartment in Plover to conduct further investigation. Authorities say no one is in custody.
