Police investigate fatal shooting at apartment in Madison

MADISON, WI — The Madison Police Department is investigating a death at an apartment building on the 2300 block of Fish Hatchery Road around 1 a.m. Thursday.

Police say a man with a gunshot wound was found at the apartment upon their arrival. 

Police released more details early Thursday morning, but retracted most of them because of the on-going death investigation.

Fish Hatchery Road going north was partially blocked by police squad cars during the early hours of the morning as they set up in front of the apartment.
