Police: Onalaska toddler found dead in Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE (WKBT) — An Onalaska toddler who has been missing since Saturday was found dead in Milwaukee, according to the Milwaukee Police Department.

The body of 3-year-old Major Harris was found at North 53rd Street in Milwaukee, said Milwaukee Acting Police Chief Jeffrey Norman. Major lived in Onalaska with his mother, Mallery Muenzenberger.

Muenzenberger was found dead in Milwaukee last week, only three miles from where Major’s body was recovered. She suffered multiple gunshot wounds.

“My heart and my condolences out to the family,” Norman said.

Norman was unable to share information on the investigation, saying it was ongoing.

Members of the Milwaukee community offered their deepest condolences to the family.

“Our community is suffering. Too many times this has happened and it’s just a terrible situation. I know everybody is hurting,” said Milwaukee Alderman Russell W. Stamper II.

Director Arnitta Holliman from the city of Milwaukee Office of Violence Prevention urged everybody to stand up and step up to keep women and children safe.

“There should never be an instance where a 3-year-old or any child is harmed,” she said.
