Police respond to reports of home invasion, attacks in Bangor

Multiple law enforcement agencies responded to Bangor this morning for reports of a masked man attacking people in their homes.

According to Bangor’s Chief of Police Scott Alo, a woman in the Otto Bossard, Hattan street area called the Police Department at about 11:00 a.m. this morning reporting that a masked man entered her home and choked her until she passed out.

The man was gone when she woke up.

After responding, officers learned a man matching the same description attacked another man in a residence just down the street.

Bangor’s Chief of Police says the suspect did not take anything from the homes, show any weapons, or talk to either of the victims during the attacks.

A canine unit was called to the scene but lost the suspect’s tracks. Officers say he could have driven away in a vehicle.

The suspect is described as wearing a black ski mask and long-sleeve shirt, and blue jeans. He is between 5’7″ and 5’10”.

Anyone with information regarding either incident is being asked to call La Crosse County Dispatch at (608) 785-5942.
