Poor road conditions left many in the ditch

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – La Crosse County Sheriff’s Office had a busy day.

Early Sunday morning roads were impassible and authorities say some were snow-covered until late afternoon.

Between 1 AM and 3 PM, there were 66 motor assists, many of which were slide-offs.

There was also 13 crashes.

The Campbell Police Department reported a semi crash on I-90 near exit 3.

And the Wisconsin and Minnesota DOT reports many interstates and highways are still snow-covered or have slippery conditions.
