Prairie Du Chien, Tomah made Top 10 list in Wisconsin

Zippia, an online career expert site, has released a list of the Most Successful Cities in Wisconsin.

Tomah and Prairie Du Chien both made the top ten.

Here is the complete list:

3. Antigo
4. Prairie Du Chien
5. Waupaca
6. Tomah
7. Rice Lake
8. Altoona
9. Ashwaubenon
10. Marshfield

To determine this, they looked at criteria from the 2010-2014 American Community Survey.

According to the site, median household income is the most digestible way to understand how wealthy a place really is. The unemployment rate tries to capture the prospects for more people to become rich. And finally, if more people are employed, the brighter (and more successful) that place’s future looks.

After Zippia collected the data for all 141 places with more than 5,000 people in Wisconsin, they ranked each place from 1 to 141 for each of the criteria, with 1 being the most successful.

They then averaged all the rankings for a place into a “Success Score” with the place having the lowest overall Success Score crowned the “Most Successful City in Wisconsin.”
