Prosecutors want to amend charges in overdose
LA CROSSE, Wis. (AP) — Prosecutors in La Crosse County have filed a motion to amend charges against two people accused of disposing of the body of a drug overdose victim.
Twenty-five-year-old Cain Moss and 37-year-old Christina Lorenz have already been charged with hiding a corpse. The two are accused of dumping Anthony DuCharme’s body on Indian Hill last August after he died of a drug overdose.
Prosecutors have filed a motion to amend charges to first-degree reckless homicide, saying the two provided the Fentanyl that DuCharme took before he died. The La Crosse Tribune says his body was discovered two days later.
