PTO Sustainability Committee hosts first TLC day

Members cleaned up Cathedral Elementary School

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — Members of the PTO sustainability committee were out in full force Saturday for their first day of TLC.

Every year, parents, neighbors and friends get together to work on projects in the neighborhood.

Saturday’s TLC day was spent at Cathedral Elementary School. Members focused all of their attention on the playground making sure there was a enough mulch underneath each feature to make sure every kid has a soft place to land.        

“One of the things we love about the cathedral community is there is a strong ethic of service and it’s really important for the parents to be involved and to help out the school in beautifying the campus and keeping it safe for our kids,” said Kate Parker, PTO representative.
