WINONA, Minn (WKBT) – People who would like to give input on a new Winona jail project have a chance.

Winona County is hosting a public forum to talk about building a new jail. The event will be held virtually.

There will be presentations by local county officials who are members of the County’s Jail Design and Construction Committee. The current jail was built in 1978. In 1982 the Department of Corrections changed the code making the Winona County jail non-compliant.
