Rain/Snow Showers Taper This Evening, Cold & Blustery Night -Bill Graul
Rain Likely Wednesday
Tonight’s Forecast Low: 28F / Tuesday’s Forecast High: 49F…
It was unseasonably chilly today with highs in the 35-40F range for most, which is about 20-25 degrees BELOW average for April 18th. The high in La Crosse was 40F and our average high is 61F! Rain and snow showers will taper this evening, then expect decreasing clouds overnight. It’s going to be a chilly and blustery night, with lows in the 24-28F range for most, with wind chills in the teens to low 20s.
Warmer Tuesday with a mix of sun and clouds, but still well short of average. Expect highs in the 46-51F range in most areas. Winds will be much lighter at least. Expect clouds to increase late in the day in advance of our next storm system. That system will cause rain to become likely on Wednesday, especially around midday and into Wednesday afternoon. Highs Wednesday will be in the upper 40s to low 50s, with rather breezy conditions returning as well.
Looking Ahead… More seasonable Thursday with decreasing clouds. Expect highs in the low 60s. Breezy Friday and Saturday with a chance for periodic showers and t-storms. Highs will be in the upper 50s to near 60F Friday, then mid 60s to low 70s Saturday. That will feel nice, but again you will want to keep the rain gear handy as well. Isolated showers possible Sunday, with highs in the low 60s.
Breezy and cooler heading into next week, with highs dropping back into the upper 40s to low-mid 50s. As of now, Monday and Tuesday look mostly cloudy… but dry.
Have a good Monday night! -Bill Graul
