Ray Key
Ray Murray Key age 87 years old of Viroqua died on Friday April 30th, 2021 at the Vernon Memorial Hospital in Viroqua. He was born on April 22nd, 1934 in Marshall Texas to Ida Luella and Roby Albon Key.
He graduated from Marshall High School in 1952. Served in the army in peacetime in Italy. Graduated from Texas Technological Collage (Texas Tech) in 1962. He was married to Joetta Nichols and had four children. Deborah, James, Martha and Michelle. He married Ruby (Trish) Malin on August 21st, 1976. Ray worked for the Texas Highway Department and then for ICI in Marshall. Ray and Ruby moved to Saudi Arabia in 1980, where Ray worked for ARAMCO until he retired in 1990. When Iraq invaded Kuwait, he moved to Readstown, Wisconsin, and had just moved to Viroqua before the lockdown in February of 2020.
Ray is survived by his wife and three daughters. One brother Al and sister in law Bonnie Key. Six Grandchildren, and 12 Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his infant son, his parents, one brother Dale and sister in law Mary Key, and his son James.
No services will be held at this time. The Thorson Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Viroqua is assisting the family with arrangements.
