REACH Center hosts job fair for social services careers
LA CROSSE (WKBT) — Local organizations are bringing opportunity to the community.
The REACH Center, Coulee Cap, YWCA, Salvation Army, and Catholic Charities collaborated to host a professional job fair.
Staffing shortages have affected all workers, including professionals in industries with great needs like social services.
Through the job fair, employees from these organizations hope they can recruit more people.
“We know that our partners are feeling the crunch of not having enough staff, so it was an idea to come together as a group to again, try to attract people to our field,” said Loretta Hass, resource center director at the YWCA.
Community members were asked to dress nicely and bring resumes and a list of references, as organizations conducted interviews at the job fair.
