Red Kettle Campaign kicks off with pancake breakfast
ONALASKA, Wis. (WKBT) — Volunteers from our area are preparing to ring in the season.
Salvation Army of La Crosse kicked off this year’s Red Kettle Campaign Friday morning in Onalaska.
Volunteers came together to enjoy a pancake breakfast and start raising funds for the fundraising effort.
Funds raised benefit the Salvation Army’s mission in many ways.
“Whether it’s emergency shelter, it’s the meal program, it’s the food pantry, it’s our upcoming angel giving tree, it’s the feed the kids summer feeding program, rent assistance, heat assistance, you name it, the kettle campaign helps fund a portion off all those different programs,” said Nick Ragner, Development Director of Salvation Army of La Crosse.
The Salvation Army officially begins ringing bells Saturday.
Bells will be ringing through December 24th.
