Rep. Kind tours community vaccination site at UW-La Crosse

Site could provide as many as 1,000 doses of the COVID-91 vaccine

Wisconsin Representative Ron Kind toured the Community Based Vaccination site at UW-La Cross Tuesday afternoon.

UWL Chancellor Joe Gow and the DHS Deputy Secretary also took part in the tour.

200 people are initially being vaccinated each week.

As many as 1,000 could get the COVID-19 vaccine at the site each week as supplies allow.

Representative Kind says the speed at which people are getting the vaccine once the state has the doses is thanks to a lot of hard work.

“It’s because of the planning and the preparation and vaccine sites like this that we have scattered throughout the state right now, in order to get those shots in people’s arms to keep them safe,” said Wisconsin Representative Ron Kind.

Registration for the Community Based Vaccination site is available here.
