Rep. Ron Kind agrees with President Trump’s military action in Syria
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — Democratic U.S. Representative Ron Kind from La Crosse agrees with President Trump’s quick reaction to the gas attack in Syria.
Congressman Kind says he believes the missile attack on a Syrian airbase was an appropriate response to Bashar Al Assad’s use of chemical weapons.
Kind also says all members of the United Nations need to send a message to the Assad regime, condemning chemical attacks.
“It’s time for Russia to step up and do what they had agreed to do in 2013. That is to ensure that Assad does not possess any of these weapons of chemical or biological capabilities that he’s currently using against his people,” said Kind.
He says he does not believe this will lead to an escalation of force with Syria, but hopes President Trump seeks congressional approval for future military decisions.
