Report: NFL investigating Packers and Aaron Rodgers over handling of COVID-19 protocols
GREEN BAY, Wis. (WKBT) – Multiple NFL coaches and executives are complaining to the league that their teams were held to different COVID-19 protocols than the Packers.
According to a report from ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter, the NFL is investigating how the Packers and quarterback Aaron Rodgers handled those protocol standards at their facility and during games.
The NFL is also investigating a party during Halloween that multiple Packers players — including the unvaccinated Rodgers — attended. Those players were not seen wearing masks.
NFL rules state that a limited number of players may have a gathering outside of a team’s facility.
Both the team and Rodgers will be fined — but not suspended — if the league finds any COVID-19 protocol violations.
