Report: Packers not activating MVS for Cards game
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Thursday afternoon that the Packers will not be activating wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling from injured reserve to have him available for Thursday night’s game against the Cardinals.
Valdes-Scantling has been out with a hamstring injury suffered during the Packers’ Week 3 win at San Francisco. Before going down he had six catches for 76 yards and a touchdown this season.
Had he been activated, MVS would have been the immediate No. 1 receiver for Aaron Rodgers against Arizona, as the Packers are already missing Davante Adams and Allen Lazard due to COVID-19 protocols.
The active receivers for the Packers tonight include Randall Cobb, Amari Rodgers, Equinameous St. Brown, and Malik Taylor. Juwann Winfree is also expected to be elevated from the practice squad.
