Report: Rodgers rejected 2-year extension this offseason
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Tuesday morning that Aaron Rodgers was offered a two-year extension this offseason and turned it down.
The fact that Rodgers was offered a new contract is not new to Tuesday, but the fact that it was a two-year extension is the new piece of information.
Schefter’s tweet is below:
This off-season, the Packers offered Aaron Rodgers a two-year contract extension that would have tied him to Green Bay for five more seasons and made him the highest-paid QB and player in football.
Rodgers declined the offer, proof it’s not about the money.
