Resources available for victims of domestic abuse
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — Advocates for survivors of domestic violence in our area want to remind people of resources that are available following a shooting in Chicago.
The shooting stemmed from a domestic violence incident.
While situations like this can’t always be prevented, there are signs to look out for.
“Ultimately, that power and control piece is consistently there, it’s just the behaviors that are reaching that goal look different for everybody,” said Chelsea Seen, Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Program with Gundersen Health System.
