Reynolds gathers signatures for La Crosse mayoral race

LA CROSSE, Wis (WKBT) – Candidates for mayor are still collecting signatures to eligible for the race in February. Mayoral hopeful Mitch Reynolds was outside of Fannin Counseling and Art Therapy gathering signatures for his candidacy.

Reynolds is one of six people running for the La Crosse office. He said he wants to focus on some specific issues that concern La Crosse and all of its citizens.

One of his major goals is helping to end Homelessness in La Crosse. Apart from homelessness, Reynolds wants to tackle a wide variety of problems that face the city.

“Issues that involve anything. Whether it be streets, or policing, or new fire stations. Whatever it is, there has to a middle ground that we can find, and we can find together. We have to draw people together, we have to create some kind of unity,” Reynolds said.

The primary election will take place on Feb. 16. The deadline for candidates to file nomination papers is Jan. 5.
