Ribbon cutting helps Viroqua celebrate new food pantry
A $50,000 grant from CouleeCap allowed the pantry to purchase a walk-in cooler and freezer.
VIROQUA, Wis. (WKBT) – A new food pantry is ready to help people in need in Vernon County.
A ribbon cutting was held Thursday afternoon for The Living Faith Food Pantry’s new facility in Viroqua.
The facility opened after a year of work allows for privacy as people register and provides more efficient storage.
It’s not just those who are receiving help that notice the difference.
“When we opened this up and a lot of them came back, they were just totally in awe of how much simpler, easier, efficient this whole process is,” said The Living Faith Food Pantry director and pastor Dale Toltzman
