Road construction on La Crosse Street begins Monday
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – Work will get underway on La Crosse Street on Monday, June 6.
The $6.7 million dollar reconstruction project to improve safety and pavement conditions has been in the works for a decade. The project includes adding a center turning lane between West Avenue and Losey Boulevard as well as bike lanes and flashing beacons at pedestrian crossings.
The work won’t happen all at once. Sections of La Crosse Street will be closed in stages through May of 2023.
